CHEESE BLINTZES WITH CHERRY SAUCE

๐Ÿฅž๐ŸฅžPancake day is soon upon us and I felt duty-bound to include a pancake recipe on the blog. Blintzes are basically Jewish  crepes  filled with cheese and served dusted with icing sugar (although fillings may vary from sweet to savoury). They are delicious and quite filling – a great brunch or dessert option. Note that you only cook them on one side and you fill them cooked side  in. pancakes comes from pretty everywhere  The Blintz in particular is thought to have originated in Central Europe, around Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Yogurt Dip / Maast O Khiar (Persian)


  • Its a new version of Indian cucumber raita, I grew up eating INDIAN RAITA for yummy Briyani (INDIAN BASMATI RICE)but i have a Persian friend here, she prepares Maast O Khiar (direct translation: yogurt and cucumber) as a side dish, alongside many a Persian meal at home. so i wanted to give a try after i eats It’s a beloved little yogurt dish made in many Middle Eastern and Mediterranean countries and it’s no wonder it has massively grown in popularity everywhere,you will enjoy with every bite of a good and juicy yogurt. Who doesn’t love that stuff? I always ask for more, just to be safe.

  • Recipes for cucumber dill yogurt can differ country to country,even family to family. In fact, even within a family too, as I have just found out by calling up my mom to see what exactly she adds to hers. So I guess she and I make ours slightly differently because she oftentimes adds dried mint and onions,my friend she sometimes use dried Persian rose. I make mine without the mint and rose, but I add garlic. Not like they’re substitutes for one another .obviously, it’s just a different taste. Some People add walnuts and raisins too. if u want to make it sweeter,just add in.

  • Ingredients :

  • ๐ŸŒฟ 1 cup full-fat Greek yogurt.
  • ๐ŸŒฟ 2 Persian cucumbers, cut lengthwise into fourths and minced.
  • ๐ŸŒฟ 2 tbsp (about 1 handful) minced fresh dill with stems discarded, or 1 tbsp dry.
  • ๐ŸŒฟ ¾ tsp salt.
  • ๐ŸŒฟ ½ tsp black pepper.
  • ๐ŸŒฟ ¾ tsp garlic powder.
  •                                      





Method :

Place cucumbers in a clean dish towel or paper towel and gently squeeze out any liquid.

  1. Add yogurt to a small-medium mixing bowl and mix in cucumbers and all the rest of the ingredients.
  2. Serve as a side dish to your meal, use as a salad dressing, a dip, or a spread for sandwiches. Enjoy!
