CHEESE BLINTZES WITH CHERRY SAUCE

πŸ₯žπŸ₯žPancake day is soon upon us and I felt duty-bound to include a pancake recipe on the blog. Blintzes are basically Jewish  crepes  filled with cheese and served dusted with icing sugar (although fillings may vary from sweet to savoury). They are delicious and quite filling – a great brunch or dessert option. Note that you only cook them on one side and you fill them cooked side  in. pancakes comes from pretty everywhere  The Blintz in particular is thought to have originated in Central Europe, around Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Carrot Ribbons & Orange Salad


This is a wonderful ,fresh tasting salad with such a fabulous combination of citrus fruit and vegetables that is difficult to know weather it is a salad or a dessert.it makes a refreshing accompaniment to a healthy main course and also this colorful salad is a great holiday side dish. it makes your dinning table so colorful when u have guest.



Serves : 4

Ingredients :

πŸ€450 g / 8 large  carrots.
πŸ€2  large navel orange or clementine.
πŸ€15 ml / 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil.
πŸ€30 ml /2 tbsp freshly squeezed orange juice.
 πŸ€1/2 Tbsp brown sugar.
πŸ€30 ml / 5 tbsp  chopped pistachio nuts/toasted pine nuts.
πŸ€salt and ground pepper a pinch.
πŸ€1/4 cup pitted dates, chopped small (optional ad din)


Method :


  1. Grate the zest of the orange into a salad bowl. Then peel and segment the orange, squeezing as much of the juice into the bowl as you work. Slice the segments if they are too large. Add the grated /peeled as ribbons -carrot.
  2. In a small bowl or jug, combine oil, brown Sugar and  mix well. 
  3. Pour over carrots and orange, toss and chill before serving. Sprinkle the toasted nuts or seeds over the top, and serve.
