CHEESE BLINTZES WITH CHERRY SAUCE

πŸ₯žπŸ₯žPancake day is soon upon us and I felt duty-bound to include a pancake recipe on the blog. Blintzes are basically Jewish  crepes  filled with cheese and served dusted with icing sugar (although fillings may vary from sweet to savoury). They are delicious and quite filling – a great brunch or dessert option. Note that you only cook them on one side and you fill them cooked side  in. pancakes comes from pretty everywhere  The Blintz in particular is thought to have originated in Central Europe, around Poland, Hungary and Slovakia. Onion pakoda or pakora recipe | How to make onion pakoda

Onion Pakoda or Onion Pakora πŸŽ‡πŸŽ‡are deep fried snack that are made with chickpea flour, salt, light spices and  onion or a vegetable. These are very commonly prepared in most Indian homes.

Ingredients :

  •  πŸ”Έ Onion 1 cup.
  •  πŸ”Έ Gram Flour Besan 1 cup.
  •  πŸ”Έ Salt to taste.
  •  πŸ”Έ Ginger finely sliced 1 tea spoon.
  •  πŸ”Έ Curry leaves as required.
  •  πŸ”Έ Green chillies 2 no.
  •  πŸ”Έ Baking powder tea spoon. (optional)
  •  πŸ”Έ Oil or butter(for tempering) 2 tablespoon.
  •  πŸ”Έ Rice Flour 1/4 cup.
  •  πŸ”Έ Cashew nuts (crushed/sliced) 5 no.
  •  πŸ”Έ cumin seeds tea spoon.
  •  πŸ”Έ Oil as required.

  • Directions: 

πŸ’Take a bowl, add very thin sliced onions, green chilies, ginger sliced, curry leaves, if you want to add cashew nuts soak in water for 10min and then add it to the onions, add salt and mix well.

πŸ’In another bowl add besan, rice flour, salt, cumin seeds, baking powder,(optional) oil, now add the onion mixture.

πŸ’add little by little water Mix well if need sprinkle water and mix well again. don't add more water unless if required- if batter becomes too thin or watery then pakoras will not turn crispy.


πŸ’Heat oil and deep fry till it is golden brown.
